Two Phase Tournament - Groups, then Bracket Stage (Single-Elimination)

Registration closes on February 11th at 8 pm EDT
Seeding and Groups finalized February 13th. Match scheduling will begin afterwards.
Entrants must have a sub 60 Minute time in Mario 3 Any% Warpless before Registration closes in order to participate.
Entrants must stream their races (Twitch, Kick, or YouTube)
Entrants are expected to have their game feed, LiveSplit timer, and Points Tracker displayed for each race.
Commentators needed! Commentators must also join the Discord to participate. We need at least 1 Commentator per Matchup, but 2 per race would be ideal! :)
All Matchups will be 1 race, 1v1
Group Seeding will be based on your Personal Best time in the Mario 3 Any% Warpless category.
Bracket Stage Seeding will be based on:
1. Total Points Scored in Groups Stage
2. Win-Loss Record in Groups
3. Average Race Finish Time
After Bracket Seeding Guidelines are used, the Top 2 Players from each respective Group will Advance to the Bracket Stage
*UPDATE*
If a Race ends with a Tied Points score, the player who finished the race First will be awarded the Win, to break the Tie
Runners are STRONGLY encouraged to local record their runs! Technical issues can happen, and local recording provides proof on what points you did or didn't earn in those instances. Cover yourself and local record!
Use the NTSC version of Mario Bros. 3. PAL or Famicom version not allowed.
NES or Famicom console with a Mario 3 cartridge, EverDrive, or PowerPak is allowed.
SNES All-Stars version is NOT recommended. Play the NES version if possible!
Nintendo Switch Online version of Mario 3 is allowed, as long as it is the NTSC version.

Clone consoles are BANNED from being used for this tournament
Patched and/or Modified ROMS of the game are NOT ALLOWED and are BANNED. Any players that are caught cheating will be Disqualified from the Tournament and Banned from any future Tournaments created by me!
**IMPORTANT Update**
In the event of a game crash, hardware failure, or power outage, players are allowed to restart their game and grab the 2 Warp Whistles in World 1 to warp to the start of the world where their game crashed. Players can go for any points that they still haven't had their Attempts in, until they reach the 65 minute time limit. The -1 penalty point for a 65+ minute run will not be given to a player who's game crashed, but their run will still end at the 65 minute mark.
However, if the player chooses to DNF, the -1 Penalty will still be applied. Keep playing until your 65 minute time limit is up!
In the event of a power outage, the 65 minute time limit can still be tracked with Racetime race timer
