nekohime's 32nd Bi-Monthly Arcana Sunday NA Tourney

This tournament is for North American region only.

All players must use wired ethernet connections.

Standard counter-picking rules apply: after each game in a set the winner must keep the same character but may choose a different Arcana and the loser may change both their character and Arcana.

Tournament starts at 3:00 PM EDT on Sunday 3/24/2024. Check-in opens at 2:30. All players must check in before the tournament starts.

Matches will be announced on the AH3LMSSServer Xtend Discord server: https://discord.gg/8x24VCY - all players must join the server to participate.

For the sake of time, all matches before Top 6 will be played off-stream except for anyone who is playing against me. Top 6 matches will be played on-stream in the following order:

Grand Finals

Regarding Bugs:

So it turns out this game is a mess and possibly unsuitable for serious competitive play, which is a shame because otherwise it's a lot of fun. The good news is that Team Arcana is reportedly working on a patch. The bad news is there's no telling when the patch will be released. In the meantime we can still play for fun and I intend to keep holding monthly netplay tournaments for as long as people are willing to be good sports about it.

Rather than attempt to list all of the bugs and make rules to handle each one I am dividing all of them into 2 categories based on how they effect the game:

• Something happens that is clearly not what the developers intended, however the game is still capable of declaring a winner and advancing to the next round or game. This will be treated as a normal victory for whichever player the game declares the winner even if it does not seem like that player should have won at that time.

• The game is not capable of declaring a winner and advancing to the next round. This will be treated as a loss for both players and another game will be played with both players allowed to change characters. If this type of bug occurs during multiple consecutive games I may, at my sole discretion, declare a winner so that the tournament may continue.
  

By entering this tournament all players agree to these rules.

*Low Turnout Contingency Plan

Depending on the number of entrants the tournament format will be adjusted as follows:

4+ entrants: Tournament will proceed as planned.

3 entrants: Round Robin FT2 after which the top 2 will play an FT3 Finals match.

2 entrants: single FT5 match.

1 entrant: the only player to enter wins by default and may proudly proclaim themselves to be the best Arcana Heart 3 player in North America until the next tournament.
