We are the Best In The World At What We Do. Time to prove it!

This will be a double elimination tournament using EU Adjusted Backroom rules. Full ruleset is found here

Games are Best of 3 up until Winners/Losers finals, which are Best of 5. In the event of a bracket reset, this will be a Best of 7.

Please note that this tournament will not be restricted to region as it is a Worldwide event. Whilst there will be a lag complaint procedure in place, please be reasonable should you encounter someone from a different region from your own during the course of the tournament as there is only so much that can reasonably be done on this front.

SET PROCEDURE:

Players select their characters.
Use Game 1 Stage Striking (see below) to determine the first stage.
The players play the first game of the set.
Winning player of the preceding game strikes 2 stages (see below).
The losing player of the preceding game picks a stage for the next game.
The winning player of the preceding game needs to announce any changes to their character if they have changes to make. It is not necessary for them to announce ARMS changes.
The losing player of the preceding game may choose to announce any changes to their character and ARMS selection, although it is not necessary for them to do so.
The next game is played
Repeat steps ‘4’ through ‘7’ for all subsequent games until the set is complete.

Game 1 Stage Striking

The player with the higher seed will strike first. Players may strike from the legal starter stages (each person strikes stages in a 1-2-1 format) to determine the stage for the first game.

Counterpick Stage Striking

After each game of the set, before counter picking, the player who won the previous game may strike two stages from the entire stage list, including counter picks. These strikes do not persist throughout the set and only apply to the immediate game’s stage selection.

How To Join and Fight

Check in (opens 1 hour prior to the tournament)
Go to Discord Server: https://discord.gg/8mG8Uyu
Shortly after the start of the stream check in will be finalised and 2 matches from Round 1 will be selected to play on stream . After this occurs:

Use one of the Discord text channels section under “Tournament Groups” to communicate with your opponent
Exchange friend codes.
Decide on a host and make an arena lobby in game.
Fight your opponent in a best-of-three.
Ensure you report your scores on Challonge.
