Welcome to the first Dark Souls All Bosses tournament!

This is a single-stage tournament with double-elimination, which means that players who lose their first round will have a second chance to win in the Loser's Bracket. It is open to players from all skill levels. The category is All Bosses (DLC included), and to participate you need to be able to stream your gameplay. Please note that all runs will be timed using RTA

The registration deadline for this tournament is March 24th, ~1:00 PM CET. Your ranking in the tournament will be determined by your current All Bosses PB. If you do not currently have a PB video, please try to record one before the registration deadline.

The first set of matches will occur during the week of March 25th to April 1st. You can coordinate with your opponent to find a time slot that fits best for both of you, just as long as you complete your match before April 2nd. Note that some higher seeded players may have a bye for the first week, and will not have to schedule a match until April 2nd.

Almost all players will use SpeedRunsLive for coordination, timing and recording of the races.  The time listed on SRL is supposed to be the official time for the match, but RTA will be used in the event that a "scrambled hotkeys" glitch occurs in LiveSplit. Please take note of all of the SRL rules, as failing to follow them may result in a disqualification.

In addition, these rules must be adhered to:

  • You may not make any modifications to the game that affect the gameplay itself. This includes DSFix's popular framerate unlock feature which has to be completely turned off. Unlocking the framerate and setting it to 30 FPS within the DSFix config file will still cause discrepancies as to how the game runs.
  • You may not use the debug version of the game. Only the normal version is allowed.
  • Playing in offline mode is mandatory. Online play with other players in any way is completely banned.
  • Forcing the game to close by using ALT + F4 or similar measures is not allowed. Unintended crashes of the game, however, do not invalidate a run as long as gameplay is resumed as soon as possible.
  • You may not use savefiles. Savefile runs are common when practicing categories with weapons that do not have 100% drop rates but these are not counted as being official.

It is highly recommended that you run the PC version of Dark Souls. Any player running a console version of Dark Souls will be at a significant disadvantage due to the use of RTA timing.

All matches will be streamed to one of the Speedgaming Twitch channels.

If you have any questions regarding this tournament, please ask either Brood or Typwo on Speedsouls Discord.
