Encore Esports presents a new weekly Fortnite tournament to Westchester county running competitive Duos!

Times:

Registration: 3:00-4:15pm (You can register in advance in necessary)

Start Time: 4:30pm

NOTE: If you will be late you MUST contact us in advance - tournament registration is non-refundable, and if you are not available and set up when your match is called, you will forfeit the set.

Fees:

Venue Fee: $5.00 per person (Waived if currently a weekly pass holder or a full member)

Registration Fee: $10.00 per person

NOTE: Spectating the event will cost $5.00, however this does not include usage of the equipment, if you are not here to compete and wish to play, normal pricing will apply.

Venue Rules:

You can bring outside food, and there are snacks and drinks to buy at the event. There will be a designated table for eating. No food or drink other than capped bottled water will be allowed by the gaming stations. We just ask you to please clean up after yourselves - don’t leave any garbage behind.

Tournament Rules:

Each team will consist of two players, player names (and team names) must be submitted during registration, matches will be held in a 2v2 format. The bracket will be run in a double elimination format, with upper (winners) and lower (losers) brackets. The winning team from the lower bracket must defeat the winning team from the upper bracket in two full sets to win in the grand finals.

ANY CONTROLLER EQUIPMENT THAT IS NEEDED TO PLAY ON THE PC MUST BE BROUGHT BY THE PARTICIPATING PLAYER (Both Controller and Cable)

Matches will be queued with all four competing players in the same party (both duo teams together), in squad format in the 1v100 play mode. Our provided tournament accounts must be used.

Each duo team will be competing to kill as many of the opposing 96 players as possible before the end of the match. Once the match is completed (or all four competing players are killed), the duo of players with the higher combined kill total for the match will be awarded the win for that round. Sets will be played in a best-of-three round format with the exception of the final match (best-of-five).

--In the case of a tie, the team with the longest surviving player will win the round

--If a round is completed AND combined kills are tied with three of the four competing players alive, the team with two living players will win the round

--If a round is completed AND combined kills are tied with all four competing players alive, the round will be replayed

--Any obvious attempt to kill another competing player (e.g. Impulse Bombing a player off a cliff or blatant structure dismemberment for drop-kills) will be met with the assignment of a loss of round.

Tournament Prizes:

Prizes will be distributed based on the number of participating teams.

If 6-10 teams are competing:

1st Place - 60% of Registration Pool

2nd Place - 40% of Registration Pool

If 11+ teams are competing:

1st Place - 60% of Registration Pool

2nd Place - 30% of Registration Pool

3rd Place - 10% of Registration Pool

There may be additional prizes added on a weekly basis. If this is the case, these will be announced at the start of the event.

Match Procedure:

Both teams of 2 will queue together in squad format, in separate discord channels for the match. The match will proceed until all four competing players are killed, or the squad wins the match. After the match is completed all players must display their statistics sheet to one of the tournament officials (TOs), who will then score the round. Any player who fails to open the statistics sheet will not have their kills or survivability counted for the round.

After scoring the round, the TO will officially award the round point to the winning team, and games will play until one team wins two rounds (or three for the finals).
