The game doesn't have a ranking system. Anyone is free to enter, other than people who have placed Top 4 at a previous HoopSquad GG tournament. Anyone in Top 8 of a previous Beginner's Tournament in this series is also not allowed to enter If the TO's determine that you're too far above most players in the bracket, we can eject you from the tournament at any time. You should take this as a compliment, and enter our unrestricted tournament the week after!

You MUST  be in Sajam's Discord in order to participate in this tournament. If you can't be found at the time of the tournament you will be DQ'd. I HIGHLY suggest changing your Discord nickname to your Challonge name at the time of the tournament.

Our goal is get as much character variety on stream as possible, so we will be asking you to put what character you play next to you challonge name (eg. "Trinity5 - Sol").

This Tournament is capped at 64 entrants. If the cap is hit, you will be automatically entered into the Challonge waitlist. If you are on the waitlist, show up at the time of the tournament as there is a chance of you being able to get in. Priority will be given to players who have not previously entered a Beginner's Tournament in this series, in order of their position in the Challonge Waitlist.

Note: This week's waitlist is specific to THIS BRACKET. There will be no carryover from this week's waitlist into next week's bracket.

Check in will begin an hour before the Tournament starts.

At 6:15 pm CDT, if you are not checked in on the Challonge page, you will be replaced by someone who is IN THE WAITLIST and WAITING IN THE #TOURNAMENT CHANNEL OF SAJAM'S DISCORD.

Bracket will not be finalized until 6:25 pm. Please do not try to set up your match before that.

Double Elimination, FT2 until Winners'/Losers'/Grands, at which point sets are FT3.

This tournament will not be region locked, if it turns out to be a problem, future tournaments will be.

If you are legitimately unable to connect with your opponent to play your match, the result will be determined by a coinflip. If you are involved in more than 1 coinflip, the win will go to your opponent.

No Stage Restrictions.

Remember to set Input Delay accordingly.

Stream matches for this tournament are going to be a little unconventional. As our goal is to help provide advice to people who are new to Gear, most of our matches will primarily be pulled from Losers' Bracket. Only Top 4 (Winners' Finals, Losers' Semis, Losers' Finals, Grand Finals) is guaranteed to be on stream. Pay attention to your Discord DMs as Trinity5 will be reaching out to players through them.
