GT Classic Mini Tournament 2020

Format:  This tournament will be a standard double-elimination bracket hosted at https://challonge.com/GTCmini2020

Qualifying/Seeding:  To qualify, you must have completed at least one GT Classic race on SRL. Seeding will be determined by your personal best race time recorded on SRL.

Rules:  

- Standard GT Classic rules apply

- Race times are tracked by RaceBot®, therefore SRL's rules apply

- Vanilla SM only, no sprite/palette modifications

- Races must be streamed unless permission is granted by organizers AND your opponent

- Runners must join the GT Classic Discord server for all tourney communication:  https://discord.gg/nPbu2qN

- Racers must grant permission for their game feed to be restreamed and archived on Twitch/YouTube

- Ties shall be settled with another race

Signups:  Post a message in the #tourney-signups channel of the GT Classic Discord to signup. The message should include your preferred name (pronunciation and/or pronouns optional), a link to your stream/channel, and your SRL username. Signups are open until the channel is locked on December 26th (EST).

Restreaming:  This tournament will NOT have a dedicated restreamer. Volunteers are welcome to restream any tournament races, but race scheduling will always prioritize the runner's needs. Contact an organizer if you're interested in volunteering for restreaming or commentary.

Scheduling:  Racers should coordinate with their opponents to schedule their races as they are indicated on the bracket. Since restreams are not prioritized, races can take place at any time. Races should still be scheduled in advance and posted in the #tourney-scheduling channel of Discord when finalized. Tiebreaker races can proceed immediately or be rescheduled (racers decide).

Prizes:  Finalists and tournament champions will have their name hoisted at the top of the userlist in the GT Classic Discord server.
