Lightning Strike Monthly #9

Oh boy, it has been a long time since our last lightning Strike! With Internationals, then Worlds, and the organizers not having enough free time, we had to put this on a hiatus. Now that we're officially back, lets start this off with an iconic phrase! "I CHOOSE YOU, PIKACHU!"

There will be two prizes this time. One for first place, and one for second. The prizes are a secret, and will be revealed later on, closer to the date ;)

5:00 - Registration opens

6:00 - Registration closes, brackets made, tournament starts,

-Everyone that enters will bring their own switch

-Those that do not have a switch will borrow someone else's to play their match

-Entrants will keep up with their own Switch, and carry it with them, setting it in the dock to play their match, removing it when the set is over. (TO's are NOT responsible for theft of a switch if it's not on the dock)

-Those who are entering should talk to a TO to figure out what IP address to use for their Switch for the tournament

-TOs reserve the right to decide not to use the new procedure, depending on how many people bring their own Switch

-Game version: Switch, NA/US, Pokkén Tournament DX

-Game Settings: Event Mode, Skill=Off, 2/3 Rounds

-Stage select set to Fixed Battle

-Controllers allowed are Joycons or official HORI Pro Pad controllers. All others must be okayed by a TO before the match starts

-Loser of last match may change fighter Pokémon, the winner is character locked.

-Both players may change assist sets and cheer type between matches if they win or lose.

-Double Elimination bracket if 8+ players, otherwise Round Robin

-Best 2/3 rounds/games for everything before Winners/Losers Finals

-Best 2/3 rounds, 3/5 games for Winners Finals, Losers Finals, and Grand Finals

-If a game ever happens to be a draw, then the TOs decide what to do about it

-Button checks within a match, if done, must be agreed to by both players before starting the match.

-A loss caused by improper controls configured will still be counted as a loss, unless both players agree to redo the match or otherwise overridden by the TOs

-TOs reserve the right to disqualify anyone for any reason.
