**Tournament Procedure Basics**

1. Register using the link on this page.

2. Change your nickname on Challonge to match your discord username - on the challonge tournament page, click “Your Settings”, change “Your Name”, click “Save”.

3. Join the Lethal League Community Discord, go to #botcommands and type “.iam new challenger” to gain access to the new player tournament boards.

4. Post a screencap of your in-game hours to #post-your-hours board. Check the pins for the easiest way to do this.

5. If you fail to do the above 3 steps, you will be unregistered from the tournament, and will have to re-register.

6. One hour before the tournament start time, you **MUST** return to this page and click the “check-in” button. It will be in the exact same location as the “register” button.

7. The tournament is **NOT LIVE** until a Tournament Organizer (listed above, and labeled with light purple names in the discord) says that it is live!

8. After the tournament is live, message your opponent in the discord to set up a lobby according to the rules below. (check #info board in the discord to learn how)

9. You may play your games as soon as the opponent is available. Top 3 will all be on stream. 

10. You may be messaged about your game being on stream! If this occurs, the lobby host will invite the casters to the lobby, and click the camera on the upper right of their player icon to make them a spectator.

11. Matches are all Best of 3 until top 3 which are Best of 5

**Tournament Rules:**

1. Higher seed has the right to host the match, they may defer to the lower seed.

2. Competitive mode (5 stocks, powerups off, 5min timer).
   

3. Every non-retro stage is LEGAL. You may stage strike according to rules below, or gentleman's agreement to a single stage/random stage.

1. Process for stage striking - 

• Game 1: both players ban 2 stages, the higher seed picks 1 from the remaining stages

• Game 2: winner of round 1 bans 2 stages, loser of round 1 picks from remaining stages

• Game 3: winner of round 2 bans 2 stages, loser of round 2 picks from remaining stages

• etc.

4. Winner cannot change character. If you win on Random, you must pick Random again.

5. MUST be in Lethal League Community Discord for matchmaking purposes, use the #opponent-finder board. You will be DQ’d if you cannot be found after 10 min. 

6. Lag is an unfortunate part of the LLB experience. In the event of any insane lag, you may request to be the host after game 1. If the opponent does not agree, reach out to a Tournament Organizer, and they will make a ruling.
