Welcome to our Street Fighter 6 League brought to you by the Iowa FGC. This will be a 8 week event starting Thursday June 8th and finishing by Wednesday August 2nd. The way this League will be run is 6 rounds of Swiss format where every week you are paired with another player who you fight in a FT5 set. 

Then after the Swiss portion is finished we will take the results and determine our top 4. With that top 4 we will run 4th place versus 3rd to determine 3rd and then 1st place versus 2nd to determine our final winner of the event.

Prizing for this event will be as follows.

This tournament will take place in the IOWA FGC Discord, a link to which can be found here discord.gg/qFncfgqBPc You MUST be a member of the Discord to compete in this event as matches and results will be called here YOU MUST MAKE YOUR NAME IN DISCORD MATCH YOUR CHALLONGE. Tournament is open to all systems unless an issue arises with crossplay which we will deal with post launch

Matches will be called in the #tournament-lobby channel where I will post the list of matches for the week. You will also use the channel to report scores by @ ing me with the results 

starting Thursday June 8th I will take all the entrants and make the matches. I will call out the matches where then you and your opponent can select a day and time to play your match. You will have until the date set for the end of that week to run your set and report results.  After you complete your match @ me in the discord with the score of the set. If you can not do your match in that time please let me know and we can try to set something up. As it is swiss format similar scores will be put against each other to get the best competition possible. 

Tie Breakers are in order and as follows

1st. Point difference. Works like soccer. The more you win by the higher your point difference is

2nd. Wins vs Tied opponent. Looks at if you played who you tied and if so who won the set.

3rd. Median bucholz system. Sum of scores with the best and worst scores discarded.

After the 6 rounds of swiss are over I will take a look at the results and determine the top 4 of our event. At which point the final 2 matches will be set with 3rd and 4th battling it out for 3rd place and our 1st and 2nd place 

Since this is one set per week we will be doing FT5 for the length of the event.

Tournament is open to Iowa and the entire midwest. If you are interested and live outside the Midwest reach out to me and we can see if we can get you into the event

This will be a commitment so I ask for the integrity of the tournament that if you dont feel like you will be able to do the one match per week that you do not enter as it will cause issues with the swiss format.
