Eligibility

Players must be a citizen of China
Players must be at least Diamond League to participate.

Due to tournament regulations players must play in a regional qualifier where they hold a citizenship. This means that residency does not count in regards to what qualifier to participate in. Players are required to play on a Battle.net account of their own, with a easily identifiable in-game ID (no barcodes).
‘Smurf Accounts’ (read: no barcodes) may ONLY be used if a tournament admin is notified beforehand. Failing to do so will result in immediate disqualification and removal from the tournament.

Example - If you live in the United States but hold a European citizenship, you will have to play in one of the European qualifiers.

Format

Each round will be played in Single Elimination Best of Three (BO3) with the top 4 moving on to advance out of the qualifier to the main event. The quarter finals will be the qualifying matches, and the semis and finals will not be played.

Administrators
An administrator always has the final say in all matters. When an administrator makes a decision, it is final and cannot be overruled.

General Rules

All qualifier games are to be played on their respective region/server.
Players should arrive and be ready at least 45 minutes before their matches are to begin.
Should a player be late, failure to be ready 15 minutes after the start of a match, the player will forfeit the first game of the match. If the player is 25 minutes late the player will forfeit the second game of the match.

Players are allowed to take 5 minute breaks between games in a tournament match.
Administrators reserve the right to change these times if the circumstances require it.

Disconnects and computer failure
The HOTS recover game from replay feature will be used in case of a disconnect due to technical failure. If for some reason recovering a game should not work, see following rule.

In the case of game recovery being impossible for whatever reason: If either player disconnects from a game due to technical failure and the game is heavily favored to the extent that the game would definitely been won one player an administrator may rule the game in favor of said player. Should the game be too close to call, it will simply be replayed.

Complaints
If a player wants to issue a complaint about a game result, this has to be done immediately after the game has finished.
If a player wants to object to a decision made by an administrator, this has to be done immediately after the game has finished.

Veto/Pick Order

The player in the upper bracket will always be the first to veto.
The same player will always be the first to pick map.
Players will veto every other map until 3 maps remain, and then pick in which order the remaining 3 maps are to be played.

Chatting
No excessive chatting is allowed in the game. If the need to chat occurs the players must be straight to the point and polite. Ideally the only chat in each game will be in the start and when a player surrenders the game.

No chat is ever permitted from a player to an outside party during a tournament match, or from an outside party to the player, unless the outside party is an administrator.

After three in-game minutes, typing “GG” in the game means that the player surrenders, and the opponent wins. After it is typed the player must leave the game immediately.

Busy status and automatic busy settings must be used during tournament play.

Broadcasting/Observing
In a broadcasted game, the two team colours must be Red and Blue. If the players cannot agree on who gets which colour, an administrator will randomly pick for them.

No observers are allowed in any tournament games, except for assigned streamers and administrators.

Players may not watch or listen to the stream of the tournament while playing.

Inappropriate behaviour and/or in-game names will result in instant disqualification at the discretion of a tournament admin.

Pausing
If a player must pause the game due to technical difficulties the player must if possible tell the opponent about this before pausing. After pausing the player must inform an administrator.

If a game is paused without a reasonable explanation such as a technical difficulty the game may result in a forfeit.

Stalemates
If a player deliberately plays for a stalemate, administrators hold the right to decide the outcome of the game.

If there is a natural stalemate the game will be replayed.

Bugs and Fair Play
If a player is clearly allowing the opposite player to win, said player may be warned or disqualified pending how clearly the match was lost on purpose.

No abuse of bugs in the game is allowed in any tournament match.

All forms of cheating and/or use of unauthorized third-party programs is strictly prohibited and will result in disqualification and removal from the tournament at the administrator’s discretion.

Race Picking
Each player signs up to the tournament with one set race. If a player wants to change the race before a match, an administrator must be notified, and the new race must be played throughout the whole match series. The administrator must be told at least 30 minutes before scheduled match start, or as soon as the previous match ends. The administrator will then tell the opponent.

As soon as a player joins or creates a game he is to choose his playing race.

This bracket is a preview and subject to change until the tournament is started.
