uh, hi. It's Ayat, the glorified random in the community that's only known for montage videos. I am also one third of Combo Prodigies United. Welcome to the first tournament in the CPU tournament series, Mix Up Mayhem. This tournament is the first edition of the tournament series ran by the trio of Punish, Doge and I (The CPU trio) where you'll be able to prove your skills and show off your amazing punishes.

General Rules

  • General Rules

    • 4 Stock, 8 Minutes

    • Hazards and Items set to OFF

    • All sets are Best out of 3 until Semifinals and Loser's Semifinals, past this point all sets are Bo5.Top 8 includes Winners Semis, Winners Finals, Losers 7th, Losers Quarters, Losers Semis, Losers Finals, and Grand Finals.
    • Make your Challonge and Discord names match

    • If you alt or PTC, you will be disqualified

    • If you are 5 minutes late to a set, you lose game 1. If you are 10 minutes late, you lose the set by default.
  • Port Priority/Stage Striking

    • Higher seed gets port unless he wishes to give port to his opponent

    • The player without port strikes one stage from the Starter list that he doesn’t want to play on

    • The player with port then strikes two stages from the Starter list that he does not want to play on

    • The player without port then strikes two stages from the Starter list that he doesn’t want to play on

    • The player with port then strikes one last stage he doesn’t want to play on, and the remaining stage is the stage they play on.

    • After the game, the losing player has the opportunity to counterpick port

    • The winning player announces four bans* from either the Starter or Counterpick list

    • The losing player then picks one of the remaining stages

    • The winner announces his character

    • The loser announces his character

    • Repeat these last 5 steps until a winner is determined

  • Lag/Desyncs

    • Lag Clause: If your opponent is seen as too laggy, you may leave the game request a speedtest, but you can’t play more than 30 seconds of a match. If there is proof you played for more than 30 seconds, your opponent wins the first game. Your opponent is considered too laggy if:

      • They have more than 50 ping

      • They have less than 8 MBPS download speed

      • They have less than 2 MBPS upload speed

    • In the event where you are playing a laggy player, you are E N C O U R A G E D to lag clause, but in the event where a player you lag clause has speeds that meet the standard, doing this twice is an instant DQ
    • When you request a speedtest, you must provide one of your own, in case you are the cause of the lag.

    • You also cannot lag clause after Game 2 starts.

  • Blacklists

    • Asshole Clause: If you purposely disrupt the tourney in any way, including, but not limited to:

      • Excessive salt

      • Refusing defeat

      • Uploading malicious files as replays

      • Alting/PTC (Pass the Controller)

      • Harassing other players

      • False lag clausing

      • Stalling

  • Banned Players

  • *Only three bans are allowed in Bo5 sets

    **Whoever selects FD in the striking process decides which of the 3 to play on.

Breaking any rule can lead to a DQ.
