INTRO
In 2291, in an attempt to control violence among dead game players, the New Earth Government legalized no-holds-bared fighting.
Liandri Mining Corporation, working with the NEG, established a series of leagues and bloody public exhibitions. The fights' popularity grew with their brutality. Soon, Liandri discovered that the public matches were their most profitable enterprise. The professional league was formed; a cabal of the most violent and skilled warriors in known space, selected to fight in a Grand Tournament.
Now it is 2341. 50 years have passed since founding of DeathMatch. Profits from the Tournament number in the hundreds of billions.
You have been selected to fight in the professional league by the Liandri Rules Board.

RULES
5v5 Double Elimination: If your team loses in the winners bracket (BO3), you're placed in the losers bracket (BO1).
Grand Finals is BO5, winners bracket finalist will have a one map advantage on losers bracket finalist.
No going out of bounds, or using exploits of any kind. If the area in question wasn't intended to be reached in the map's design, you shouldn't deliberately try to get there. One warning per team will be given before disqualification from the cup.
Team captains are to check-in through Challonge between 11:30am-12:00pm CDT. However, captains will have 15 minutes after the scheduled starting time to check-in through an admin before being declared a no-show.

EU teams will play one map (NA's map pick) on UK in the winners bracket.

Teams MUST use the built-in preset under the 'Blitz Cup' tab.

Map vetoes will be based upon your teams' seed at the start of the tournament. Teams are encouraged to use the '#map-veto' text channel on the 'Unreal Blitz North America' Discord server, or complete the vetoes through PM's between teams. Teams are also encouraged to complete the map vetoes quickly, to expedite the already time consuming tournament process.
