Resident Evil 7: Biohazard NG+ Easy Speedrun Tournament
This is a 2 day, single elimination tournament for RE7 New Game+ Easy hosted by the Resident Evil 7 speedrun community. The primary platform will be PC on the Cero D version of the game. You are required to have a verified New Game+ Easy run on the RE7 leaderboards and the RE7 Runner role in the RE7 discord prior to the tournament in order to participate.
For steam users, you are still allowed to enter - however, if your opponent is using Cero D, they will receive a 23.5 second penalty to their final time for fairness.
For console runners, you can also still participate, however keep in mind that you will be also running against PC players and they will only be given the same 23.5 second time penalty.
The prize for this tournament is $500, provided by the RE7 mod team, split below:
1st. - $300
2nd - $150
3rd - $50
Streaming of the event will be done on https://www.twitch.tv/speedgaming
Runners must check-in with the organizers within 15 minutes of their announced race time.
Players should stream to their usual twitch channel or an alt if they prefer. Players should stream their game feed with nothing covering it, turn off alert sounds and popups and mute their microphone during the race. Players should use a timer, though the result of the race will be determined by the In Game Time at the end of the run. *Not all matches are guaranteed to be streamed (except the final 3 races), varying on number of entrants and time constraints.
