All entrants must join the discord server here: https://discord.gg/26BNB3N3F2 and type their GU player ID in the field #enter-tournament anyone who fails to complete this step will be removed from the event.  All players must match the in-server name with their name on challonge otherwise they may also be removed from the event.

Entrants will cap at 256 players.  This will be first come first serve the first 256 who follow instructions correctly will be able to compete in the event.  Entry fee is free.

All rounds are best of 5 must win with 3 different domains.

Matchmaking expectations:   All players are expected to communicate in their designated matchmaking channel within 24 hours after a round starts.  If a player doesnt communicate in this channel and their opponent communicates then the non-communicative player will be disqualified 24 hours from the message of their opponent, NO EXCEPTIONS EVEN IF YOU MAGICALLY SHOW UP AFTER. 

Tournament Rounds:  

Below is the timeline and the number of games for each round:  Please note that players are allowed (but not required) to play ahead of schedule up until the final 4.  Ideally, we will have a live final 4 on stream.  Any match which is not completed in the allotted time below will be decided determined by effort placed in to scheduling the match.  If tournament arbiter FakeMews deems neither side put an effort into scheduling the match the end result will be a double forfeit.  If a player has been contacting their opponent in the appropriate matchmaking arena and has not heard a response back, they can claim a victory 24 hours from when the first communication was made.  Communication is key and this rule will be enforced unlike other tournaments in the community which don't care when you show up.

Round of 64:   Best of 5  Round start:  February 13th 1am EST   Round end:  February 17th 1am EST

Round of 32:  Best of 5   Round start:  February 17th 1am EST    Round end:  February 20th 1am EST 

Round of 16:  Best of 5   Round start:  February 20th 1am EST   Round end: February 22nd 1am EST

Round of 8:  Best of 5     Round start:  February 22nd 1am EST   Round end:  February 24th 1am EST

Final 4:   Streamed on February 25th time:  TBD: Default time 1pm EST

Prize pool total:  $1,000 USD (based in USD may be paid in other currencies)

3rd-4th:    $100

9th-16th:  $25
