Super Metroid Randomizer Accessible Tournament 2019
Welcome to the SM 1v1 Randomizer Accessible Tournament! The tournament is open to players of ALL skill levels. To participate, you will only need a way to play a randomized Super Metroid rom! You will NOT be required to stream your gameplay! SpeedRunsLive.com will be used for the official timing, however admins may make exceptions depending on the situation(I. E unable to stream and you play on emulator (SRL rules, as far as I know) , in that case, discord countdown will be used. Please familiarize yourself with the rules there. You will be expected to join a Discord server (https://discord.gg/ZnfakSH) which we will use as our main source of communication.
Rules for the tourney:
The tournament format is double elimination. For the Winner's bracket, it will be best of 3 until the semifinals. Semifinals will be best of 5, and the finals will be best of 7. For the Loser's bracket, it will be best of 3, and the finals will be best of 5.
Seeding into the double elimination bracket will be done with a large “qualification” round.
Qualification Round - The Qualification round will consist of one large race. If runners are unable to make this race, the seed will be given to them privately for them to run and will post their times in the Discord. The finishing times will then be used to “seed” the bracket.
First player to “.Done” in the SRL channel, wins their match. A player must win 2 matches to move on to the next round.
Seeds will be generated using the Varia Randomizer. This Randomizer can be found here:

RANDOMIZER SETTINGS
The randomizer preset on VARIA will be named SMRAT. If you have any difficulties locating how to do this, please feel free to ask an admin or the #smtournament discord channel.
Randomizer Settings will be accessible for every player! This is a full rando! The only tricks that will be required are: Wall Jumping, Mid-Air Morphs, Shine Sparking and Infinite Bomb Jumping (IBJ).
Restreaming will be focused on later rounds. When available, earlier rounds might have the opportunity to be restreamed.
Dates:
February 15th - Sign ups close
February 17th at 3 PM Eastern Standard Time - Qualifiers for seeding begins.
February 18th-19th - Scheduling can begin
Races can be completed by the runners at their convenience. We only ask to make an effort to complete you matches in a relatively respectable time.
