WHAT IS IT?

Worst in the World II: Tag Team Championship Edition is a global doubles ARMS tournament. You will need to find a partner (and come up with a super lame team name) to enter.

All matches will be a best of five series. When a player loses a game, their teammate must play the next game. The winner must declare if they are going to stay in or switch with their own partner,if they decide to stay in they must declare any character changes. Any new players entering do not have to declare characters. No player may play more than 2 games in a row.

CHARACTERS:

The following characters are banned from being used in this tournament:

Max Brass
Kid Cobra
Twintelle

STAGES:

Stages will be played randomly using the following five stages:

Ramen Bowl
Ninja College
Cinema Deux
Snake Park
Name [REDACTED]

When a stage has been played in a set, it will be removed for the remainder of the set.

SET PROCEDURE:

1. Both teams will select who will play the first game for their team.
   
2. Players select their characters. 
3. The stages are set to the full set of five listed above.
   
4. The players play the first game of the set.
5. The winning player of the preceding game needs to announce if they are going to tag in their partner. If they are not switching, they must announce any changes to their character if they have changes to make. It is not necessary for them to announce ARMS changes. If the winning player has won two games in a row, they must switch with their partner.
   
6. The losing player of the preceding game switches with their partner.
7. The stage that was just played on must be removed from the active stages.
   
8. The next game is played
9. Repeat steps ‘4’ through ‘8’ for all subsequent games until the set is complete.

HOW TO JOIN AND FIGHT:

1. Sign up 

2. Check in (opens 1 hour prior to the tournament)
   

3. Go to Discord Server: https://discord.gg/CmxncjN

4. Shortly after the start of the stream check in will be finalised and a match from Round 1 will be selected to play on stream . After this occurs:

1. Use one of the Discord text channels section under “Tournament Groups” to communicate with your opponent
   

2. Exchange friend codes.

3. Decide on a host and make an arena lobby in game.

4. Fight your opponent in a best-of-five.

5. Ensure you report your scores on Challonge.
