Welcome to the Mega Buster Arena's Mega Man X Buster Only Tournament! The following outlines the rules for the upcoming tournament in order to make sure everyone understands how things will be proceeding prior to signing up, and of course if there are any questions, please direct them to Organizers on the Discord server.

1. All entrants must sign up to the Challonge bracket prior to the start of the tournament. No one may be added after the tournament begins. Substitutions may be possible if someone needs to drop out, but there is no guarantee that it can be done. Inquire with Organizers on Discord in such cases.

2. Buster Only ruleset must be observed at all times. Accidents may happen and may also incur a time penalty. Intentional violations may result in disqualification. Must use console or emulator (no Legacy Collection).

3. Matches are assumed to be single race matches unless both entrants agree to a best of 3. This is due to common time constraints, but remains flexible enough to allow for longer matches when possible.

4. Runners will be expected to schedule at least one match per two weeks. We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise and we may grant an additional grace period of up to one week provided anyone experiencing such issues informs us prior to their two weeks. Regular cancellations may result in disqualification, but a little communication can go a long way!

5. Races should be synchronized via either SpeedRunsLive or Racetime.gg. Runners are expected to agree upon a service to utilize and inform organizers at the same time they try to schedule their match. SRL or Racetime times will be considered official rather than runners' individual timers (though we will capture them for the restream).

6. Losing once is not the end! There is a loser's bracket and double eliminations is required prior to being knocked out of the tournament completely (everybody gets at least two matches).

7. Runners may participate in voice chat during their matches so long as they are able to separate Discord Audio from their streams so as not to disrupt commentary. Exceptions may be allowed if both runners agree to be their own commentary.

8. In the event that a racer loses connection during a match, runners may discuss and agree to either reset if they both have time, or reschedule their match. Forfeits are discouraged, but obviously we cannot prevent them.
