21 and over only.  Only 1 entrance per person.  ID required.

Prize amounts:  Determined by number of entries

-- 10 or fewer entries will result in 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place prizes.

-- 11 + entries will result in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, & 4th place prizes.

Format:  To be determined by the number of entries

-For 21 or fewer people, we will use the following set up:

-3 games in preliminary round for every player.

-Preliminary round records determine seeding for the single elimination tournament

-For 22 to 28 entrants:  2 games in preliminary round, then seed everyone in the single elimination tournament.

-For 29-32 entrants, everyone will play one game.  All players are then seeded in single elimination tournament based on win or loss, and a handful of other tie-breaking procedures.

Team selection process:

A coin flip will be held before each game.  The winner of the flip names the 2 teams in the match-up.  The loser of the flip then either chooses his team to control, or which side he wishes to control (Player 1 or 2).

Example 1:

Player A wins coin flip and says "Seattle vs Denver".

Player B chooses to use Seattle.

- Player A then takes Denver and gets to choose his preferred controller.

Example 2:

- Player A says "Seattle vs Denver"

- Player B chooses to use Player 1 controller.

- Player A then chooses Seattle, and takes Player 2 controller.

- Player B then takes Denver and uses Player 1 control.

Equipment malfunctions:

If there is an equipment failure in the first half, games will be replayed from the start. If equipment malfunctions in the 2nd half, only the second half is replayed. In that event, the scores from each half are added together to obtain a final score. If the game was un-competitive or the equipment malfunctioned due to human error( throwing controller, kicking table resets NES, etc), the tourney organizers reserve the right to declare a winner without replaying any portion of the game.

Tournament Disputes:

Brad Bell is the tournament referee. He will decide all disputes unless he is a player in the game. If he is a player in the disputed game, Nathan Merz will resolve the dispute.

Prize Giveaway:

A random prize giveaway for registered entrants will occur between the preliminary round & tournament.
