This is a tourney focused on people just picking up Bleed 2 as a speedgame. Racers have all had 1 week to work on practice before the start of this tourney. The tournament will be in the style of a Double Elimination bracket. All matches will be a Best of 3, up until the Grand Finals, which will be explained later.
All matches for this tournament will be showcased on the SpeedGaming channels, and if not, then on the BleedRunning channel, so be sure to tune in!
1. The Category!
The category will be Story Mode New Game Normal. The only allowed characters are Wryn and the Rival. The player can equip any combination of the Pistols/Katana, the Dual Pistols, and the Katana. The player is also limited to only using the default triple air-dash. Cutscenes can be skipped with Escape or Select, but exiting to the level select menu is not allowed.
2. No Submissions Under 29 Minutes!
Runners submitting could not have a Personal Best faster than 29:00 minutes, or a PB of similar quality in other categories before the original closing date for submissions (March 25th). Depending on average run times for those interested in submitting, this is subject to change. Due to a last-minute drop-out, submissions were extended to March 27th at 11:59pm CST. During that extended time-frame, anyone with a PB of over 25:00 was able to submit.
3. Mutators/Cheating will NOT be allowed!
This rule goes without saying. Any runners using in-game Mutators or cheats will automatically forfeit the match.
4. Participants are required to stream their matches!
All racing participants will need to be able to stream their gameplay footage (without overlays)! Hand-cams are allowed for anyone on consoles or low-end computers, but screen-capture is preferred.
Thanks to the developers of Speedrun Academy (an up-and-coming website portal for all sorts of community-submitted speedrunning guides and tutorials), there will be a total prize pool of $100 AUD in Steam Gift Cards!
The winner of the Grand Finals will be awarded with a $75 AUD (~$56.27 USD) Steam Gift Card, and the runner-up will receive a $25 AUD (~$18.75 USD) Steam Gift Card.
