NASF League – Official Rules

Welcome to the NASF League! Below are the official rules and guidelines for the league. Please read through them carefully to ensure a smooth and fair experience for all participants.

1. General League Structure

Regular Season:

6 groups with 6 players each.
Round-robin format: Each player faces every other player once.
Matches will be Best of 3 (Bo3).
Top 4 players from each group advance to playoffs.

Playoffs:

Single-elimination format.
Matches:

All except the Grand Final: Best of 3 (Bo3).
Grand Final: Best of 5 (Bo5).

Divisions:

Players grouped based on similar matchmaking ratings (MMR).
Balanced divisions depending on the number of signups.

2. Eligibility

Who Can Join?

Open to the entire community.
Players with a history of spamming, harassment, or inappropriate behavior will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Previously banned players are not eligible.
Players who have been suspended or banned from the "Show Match Friday" Discord are ineligible.
New players are encouraged but recommended to have at least 20 solo games played on W3C.

Race Selection:

Players must declare their race and stick to it for the series.
Random is an option.

Disqualifications:

Players can be refused entry if they are suspected of using Smurf accounts or falsifying identities on Discord, Twitch, Challonge, Battle.net, or W3C.
Behavior violating Terms of Service (ToS) may result in bans from Discord and tournaments.
Players with a history of misconduct across communities may be banned without prior notice.
Players caught stream sniping on ladder or other events will be ineligible to participate or will be removed from the league if discovered by the administration.

3. Registration

To Join the League:

4. Schedule

Dates:

Regular Season: January 6th – January 31st, 2025 (or divisions can wrap up earlier).
Playoffs: February 1st, 12:00 AM EST – February 15th, 12:00 AM EST.

Match Scheduling:

Players are encouraged to have their matches casted by Mr. Mike on Friday nights.
Players may schedule matches on other days but must communicate with their opponents.

5. Prize Pool

Crowdfunding:

$50 to playoff winners of each division.
Matcherino donations can be made here.
Updates or changes about prize changes will be mentioned in Discord.

6. Map Pool and Veto Process

Map Pool:

Autumn Leaves v2
Concealed Hill
Northern Isles
Shallow Grave
Tidehunters
Echo Isles v2
Dortmund Hills
Secret Valley v2
Hammerfall

Map Veto Regular Season Process:

Players will veto maps before matches.
A B A B B A = 3 maps left
A player picks their loser map
B player picks their loser map
Last map is played first.

Map Veto Finals Process:

Players will veto maps before matches.
A B A B = 5 maps left
Player’s alternate choosing maps until there is one map left. That becomes the starter map.

Race Declaration:

Players must declare their race before vetoing maps.
Cannot change race throughout the series unless random.

7. Reporting Results

Winner Responsibilities:

Report results on Challonge.
Upload match replays to the #results channel on Discord; probably labeled by game names and match numbers.

8. Disconnects and Forfeits

Disconnects

If a player disconnects:

Before the 5-minute mark: The game will be replayed, up to a maximum of two replays.
By the 3rd time (if player disconnects again before 5-minute mark): The game will result in a loss for the disconnecting player.
Server desyncs: The game will be replayed once. If desync occurs again, the administration will decide the outcome.

Re-games:

Same map and race must be used as in the original game.

In-Game Pauses

Pauses are allowed but must not be abused. Prolonged pauses (e.g., over 10 minutes) may result in penalties. Submit replays for review if disputes arise.

Forfeits

A match is considered forfeited if:

A player fails to schedule or communicate within the season’s timeframe.
A player has become difficult and keeps changing scheduled time (3x).
A player is late to a scheduled match beyond a 20-minute grace period.
Other; Administration’s discretion.

Playoff Forfeits:

Prize money for forfeited playoff matches will roll over back into the Show Match Friday and League fundraising pool.

9. Conduct & Sportsmanship

General Rules:

Respect fellow players and admins.
Poor sportsmanship, sniping, cheating, or harassment will not be tolerated.

Admin Discretion:

Admins reserve the right to disqualify or remove players for any behavior deemed harmful to the league’s integrity.

10. Game Coverage

Streaming:

Co-streaming is welcome; reach out to Mr. Mike for permissions.

Caster Guidelines:

Maintain professionalism (e.g., avoid swearing, vulgar language, or inappropriate behaviors while casting).

11. Additional Notes

Players are encouraged to stay active on Discord for updates and discussions.
Admins are available to mediate scheduling conflicts or disputes.
NA Server rules.
Ping Equalizer is not needed.
