A tournament set up for one of our LANs. We're pretty much pretending that we can actually play and that these victories are very important.


Rules:


-Whitelist

-Class Limits

*KOTH: 2 Scouts, 1 Soldier, 2 Pyros, 1 Demoman, 1 Heavy, 1 Engineer, 1 Medic, 1 Sniper, 1 Spy

*5CP: 2 Scouts, 2 Soldiers, 1 Pyro, 1 Demoman, 1 Heavy, 1 Engineer, 1 Medic, 1 Sniper, 1 Spy

*Payload: 1 Scout, 2 Soldiers, 2 Pyros, 1 Demoman, 1 Heavy, 1 Engineer, 1 Medic, 1 Sniper, 1 Spy

-KOTH

*The matches will last max. 30 minutes. However, the match won't end instantly if one of the points is still being held by one team. If the other team captures it, the round will be over.

Ex: Team A captures the point after 29:30 since the match started. When the match reaches the max. 30:00, the round doesn't end. Team B then captures the point, but doesn't win the round, since they just activated their cap timer. The round then ends.


-5CP

*The matches will last max. 30 minutes.However, the match won't end instantly if one of the teams is being ubered or if the final point is being captured.

Ex1: Team A's medic is fully charged 29:50 minutes since the match began. He ubers at 29:58. When the time reaches 30:00, the match doesn't end. Team A's medic's uber then runs out. The round then ends.

Ex2: Team A pushes into the enemy's base. At 29:58 the scout runs on the point and starts capturing. When the time reaches 30:00, the match doesn't end. Team A's scout gets killed. The round doesn't end yet as the point has been captured slightly. Team B successfully defends until the point isn't capped anymore. The round then ends.


-Payload

*The matches don't have a time limit. Instead, the round timers are used.
*The matches will follow a Stopwatch mechanic:

{The amount of time it took to capture each individual point will be recorded, not just the total time of all the points.

Ex: Team A captures point 1 at 0:30. Then, they capture point 2 at 2:00. Team B has to capture point 1 before 0:30 hits the clock and then capture point 2 before 2:00 hits the clock. If they don't succed, the round ends.


-Group Stage

*The First KOTH Match is not affected by the whitelist above. Any weapons can be used, but only on the KOTH map.


-Final Stage

*The second final will only be played if there was a 2 point difference (or less) in all of the matches played between the teams.

Ex: Team A gets 2-0 on the first map and 3-1 on the second one. The second final will be played.
Team A gets 2-0 on the first map and 4-1 on the second one. The second final will not be played.

*The second final will be played on the same maps as the first one.


-How matches are score:

*KOTH: Each round won is a point won on that map.

*5CP: Each round won is a point won on that map.

*Payload: Each point captured is a point won on that map.

HIGHLIGHTS:

-The match on koth_eros between "Stupid name" and "Team Yuge" was an endless stalemate. Everyone kept going on the point and reverting the other's team capture. They never capped. Not even once. (Group G)

-"Mesopotamia eSports" got 4 wins on every map against "Hitler did everything wrong. Jackpot! (Group G)

-"6s suck" turned out to actually suck at 6s. They weren't able to win a single map. (Group H)

-"Brown Town" got 5 wins on every map against "6s suck". Either "6s suck" really suck or "Brown Town" are godly. Probably the first one, as "Brown Town" lost the following 2 matches.
