Welcome to the Splatoon 2 Any% Tournament 2020! Players of all skill levels are welcome. The category played will be any% meaning the goal is to beat the main story as fast as possible.

Required for Participation:

-You need to have Splatoon 2 

-You need to be able to stream your gameplay. (Preferably on Twitch)

-Have some experience with speedrunning Splatoon 2. It does not matter what your skill level is, as long as you can beat the main single player in under 2.5 hours then you're good to go.

-Must be in the Splatoon Speedrunning Discord for communicating with your opponent/the TO's for scheduling (https://discord.gg/2SnZqjk) 

Bracket Layout:

The tournament format will be a double elimination, that way participants will have more than one opportunity to play. It will be Best Of 1 for every round. Seeding will be ranked by the player's Any% PB. (These will be based on the submissions from the speedrun.com page for Splatoon 2)  Since Splatoon 2 is a speed game that is not as popular as say Super Mario Odyssey, it is possible someone could be paired with a runner that has a much higher PB. If this is the case, don't lose hope. You'll have more than one chance to play and even pro runners make mistakes. :)

Rules:

-Start from a brand new file

-Race will start on Yeah after you create your Inkling.

-Enter Octo Canyon

-Beat the Single Player Campaign as fast a you can

-Time ends when you dunk the rainmaker on the final boss

-Nobody can join once the tournament starts.

-If a player forfeits then their opponent will automatically win and move on.

Regestration ends at ---------- at 11:59PM. Matches will be re-streamed on Speedgaming.twitch.tv  Starting --------------, Match dates TBA on the discord server.

Players may choose when they would like to participate in their matches, as long as they plan accordingly with their opponent in a reasonable amount of time.
