Stages/Format

There will be 4 stages for these events, a preliminary, semifinal, final, and grand final stage.  This will be a Single Elimination Free for All as explained below.  Single Elimination meaning once a participant is removed from a stage, they will not be participating further in this event.  Each Match ends when all players have completed a race, or time runs out, whichever happens first.  A match ends when all 4 (6 or 8) races have been completed.

Preliminaries

Participants will be grouped into either 3’s or 4’s, based upon the number of entries.  Each group will play a circuit as detailed below.  If there are four participants in a circuit, then the top 3 based on the number of points at the end of the circuit will move forward into the next round.  If there are 3 participants in a circuit, then the top 2 based on the number of points at the end of the circuit will move forward to the next round. At the end of each round, groups will be redrawn, and the last place of each match will continue to be removed, until only 33% (or 1/3) of the original participants remain in the event.

Semifinal Stage

Participants will continue to be grouped in either 3’s or 4’s.  Each group will play a circuit as detailed below.

At the end of each round, groups will be redrawn, and the last place of each match will continue to be removed until only 33% (or 1/3) of the original participants remain in the event.

Finals Stage

Participants will continue to be grouped in either 3’s or 4’s.  Each group will play a circuit as detailed below. At the end of each round, groups will be redrawn, and the last place of each match will continue to be removed until only 3 or four participants remain.

Grand Finals Stage

The last three or four participants will play another circuit to determine final standings and payouts.
