General Rules

  • 2 stock, 6 Minutes, Items set to off
  • Custom Fighters is set to OFF
  • Every Non-Mii Character is legal
  • Mii Fighters are legal. Each setup will have 1111 Mii Brawlers/Swordsmen/Gunners available for use (Using Default A-F standard size Miis provided on console). No other specials for Mii Fighters will be allowed.
  • Amiibos are not allowed
  • Best of 3 sets, top 8 will be best of 5 (on stream if applicable)
  • If a match ends on a sudden death with a player using a suicide the win will go to the initiator of the move.
  • You CAN counter pick to any stage you have already won on
  • No excessive stalling
  • Gentleman's Clause: Any stage may be played on if both players agree to it

Starters/Neutral Stages

  • Battlefield
  • Final Destination
  • Smashville
  • Lylat Cruise
  • Town & City

Counterpick Stages

  • Dream Land 64
  • Duck Hunt
  • Omega Stages (if Final Destination is banned, Omega stages are as well)

  • For the first match, characters are chosen double-blind. This means that neither player knows what character their opponent is using.
After the first game is finished, the winner must announce their character (either stay, or switch to a new character).  Players using a Mii Fighter must also announce size and moveset.  This happens before the stage is counterpicked.
After the stage is counterpicked, the loser of the previous round must announce their character (either stay, or switch to a new character).  Players using a Mii Fighter must also announce size and moveset.

    1. The winner is the player that has the most stocks.

    2. If both players have the same number of stocks, the winner is the player that has the lowest percentage.

    3. If both players have the same stock and same percentage, a re-match of 1 stock and 5 minutes will be fought.

    Disqualification Procedure

    1. Players must check-in 30 minutes before the tournament starts, or be disqualified.

    2. If you can't get online you'll be disqualified. Make sure you aren't banned from online prior to the tournament.

    3. Updating the bracket with incorrect results will get you disqualified.

    4. Only 1 player may compete in this tournament per console.  If 2 or more players are using the same console, either they may make a gentleman’s agreement to choose who is disqualified so only 1 person is still competing, or all will be disqualified.

    5. AFK Clause: If the TO is looking for you to begin your match, and you are not in IRC, you have 15 minutes to report to IRC, otherwise you will be given a loss for the first match of that set.  If you have not reported in 20 minutes, you will be disqualified from the tournament.

    6. DC Clause: So long as players do not disconnect, matches should be played through despite lag.  If matches cannot be completed due to disconnects, after the first disconnect, the TO or streamer (if available) will join the room to observe the match.  If a player disconnects twice in that scenario, the disconnecting player will be DQ’d.

    7. There is a difference between salt and flaming other competitors.  Salt happens in competition, but flaming or harassing other competitors is not allowed.  We will be using the Anther’s Ladder definition of “salt” to help us determine the difference, and if any competitor is found harassing another competitor, they will be DQ’d, and may be banned from competing in the next Charge Shot tournament (though they can compete in future ones after that).!

This bracket is a preview and subject to change until the tournament is started.
