Tournament Rules:

-) All the participants have to compete following the rules and restrictions for the any% category on speedrun.com. Any violations will result in an immediate forfeit of the match.

-) Participants have to observe the schedule restrictions. Any delay beyond the dates indicated under the pinned document in the links section of the discord will see the match result assigned depending on the tournament stage.

-) Signups will be open up to September 7th, 16:00 UTC. After the deadline is met, no further signups will be accepted.

-) A prize pool could be estabilished out of voluntary donations. If that is the case, the intended split will be 50% to first place, 25% to second place, 15% to third place. The remaining 10'% will go to the "Player of the tournament" decided by a jury of 4 members, with a bonus vote from the winner of an open poll.

-) Tournament organizers reserve the right to alter the rules at any point and have the final say upon every matter in the tournament. Any demonstration of ill intent or actions taken against organizers or people acting on their behalf could result in a ban from the tournament.

-) All participants are expected to uphold ethical rules of fair play and act in the best interest of the competition.

-) All participants and tournament personnel are expected to be civil human beings and as such refrain from:

Disrespecting other users

Using slurs/hate speech

Harassing other users

Other forms of behavioral misconduct

Violations will result in warnings and/or a ban from the competition.

Tournament Format

-) Playoffs will run from the 7th to the 14th, if the number of participants is over 32. During this time, no additional signups will be accepted. Seeds that sum to 65 (32-33, 31-34 etc.) will face in a winner takes all race. The winners advance to the group stage with seeds ranked by PB at the date of the 14th of September. This will NOT affect the people automatically qualified for the group stage, even if a playoff player has a better PB.

-) Four Groups of 8 will then run in a Double Elimination format. The top 4 players advance.

Seeds 1-2 and 3-4 will have the same score on the website, therefore they must play a tiebreaker match.

-) The qualified players' will compete in a single elimination bracket, with a 3rd place match.
