Welcome to Stryfe's & Meowerdoom's Blast from the Past, a tournament where you'll learn (or remind yourself), that Heart of the Swarm is and was the best iteration of StarCraft II! A large portion of the StarCraft II community haven't experienced the other versions of StarCraft II outside of the campaigns. We hope that this tournament will enlighten players to just how good StarCraft II was in what we think is its best state.

This tournament is open to all players of all skill levels and everyone is invited to participate.

Instructions for Switching Custom Game Mode to Heart of the Swarm: Go to Custom -> Melee | Next to the 'search bar,' there will also be a 'Legacy of the Void Tab,' and a 'Maps Tab' (usually 'Ladder Maps'). Switch to 'Heart of the Swarm' and to 'Blizzard Maps.'

Format:

Double Elimination

All upper-bracket series are bo3 besides FINALS which is bo5

All lower-bracket series are bo1 besides lower-bracket FINALS which is bo3

Map Pool: Coda, Echo, Expedition Lost, Habitation Station, King Sejong Station, Overgrowth, Frost

Map Vetos: bo1: ABABAB C | bo3: ABBA BAC | bo5: AB BABAC

Prize Pool: (+) $200 (USD)

1st Place: 50% | ~$100

2nd Place: 25% | ~$50

3rd - 4th Place: 12.5% | ~$25

Rules:

(1) Walkover time is 10 minutes

(2) No BM (except against Stryfe)

(3) Don't cheat. This is a "for-fun" tournament, there's no need to cheat

(4) Race swapping mid-series IS allowed

(5) You may stream your games from your POV

(6) Grand-finals will be casted

(7) Game Version is Heart of the Swarm

(8) Games will be played with "no match history" on "WCS Gameheart" mod

(9) I won't say don't turtle mech vs mass swarm host, but please don't play an eighteen hour game
