For the complete details of the Super Mario Bros. 3 Randomizer settings and tournament format, check them out here. All Races will be raced on racetime.gg and streaming will be required. Streams will be restreamed with commentary to the SpeedGaming Twitch channels (There is no guarantee all matches will be restreamed, but we will certainly work to get everyone in as much as possible).

The tournament is comprised of two phases. Phase 1 will be Swiss and consist of four rounds, with each round consisting of two races. The players with the highest score at the end of Swiss play will advance to the final bracket (number based on number of participants), while all remaining players will advance to the Challenge Cup. These brackets make up phase 2 of the tournament and are both single elimination, best 2 out of 3 (best 3 out of 5 for finals and third place, at the runner's discretion).

The version of the randomizer (1.4.4.1) and Mac patcher (2.2) used may be updated prior to the beginning of the tournament, but will be static through each stage of the tournament.
