This will work exactly like the previous iteration of the team tournament we did at SNP #30, here are the rules listed there:
This is a team tournament with two players per team.
Have ONE player from the team enter in both entrants and separate your names with a '/' (For example: "Player 1/Player 2")
Whoever has their name listed first in their team's entry will go against the member of the opponents team with the same name placement, then the second match will happen between the second members of both teams. (For example: if the set was team A/B vs. team C/D, player A would go against player C and player B would go against player D)
If there is a tie, then the players on each team who won their respective match will face each other for the tie breaker
This structure will continue throughout the entire tournament, finals matches do not get any extra games as what would be normal to a non team format.
Here are the typical rules:
EVERYONE IN THIS TOURNAMENT MUST BE IN THE GUILTY GEAR TOURNAMENT HUB DISCORD IN ORDER TO COMPETE, HERE IS AN INVITE LINK:
Challonge name should be the same as Discord name.
STOP once you've reached Top 8, as we'll be streaming all of these matches.
This tournament is restricted to North American players only. Even with this, remember that netplay doesn't always cooperate.
If you want to request a connection test before starting the set, feel free. If the connection is too unstable to play, the TOs will make a decision on how to proceed.
