Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze Any% (No DA) Tournament

Welcome to the Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze Any% Tournament! The tournament is open to players of all skill levels. The category is Any% (No Death Abuse).  Death abuse in Funky Mode is not allowed. It is recommended that you play on the Nintendo Switch version if you can. Playing on Wii U is allowed, but it will put you at a disadvantage due to worse loads and no access to Funky Mode. To participate you will need to be able to stream your gameplay. SpeedRunsLive.com will be used for the official timing.  Please familiarize yourself with the rules there. You will be expected to join a Discord server (https://discord.gg/YwUhtP3), which we will use as our main source of communication. The matches will be streamed, with commentary, to the SpeedGaming Twitch channels (twitch.tv/SpeedGaming, SpeedGaming2, SpeedGaming3, SpeedGaming4, SpeedGaming5, Speedgaming6).

The tournament format is a double elimination bracket. Seeding is done by PB rank according to the Speedrun.com Leaderboards  when signups close.  Runners with no PB will be randomized and placed at the bottom of the seeding.  Runners who want to submit a PB that is not on the leaderboard must contact the tournament organizers with a video before the deadline.

The Winners semis, Losers Quarters, Losers semi, Losers final, Winners final, and Grand Final matches will be "best of 3" -- a player must win 2 races against their opponent (so either 2 or 3 races will be played).
