Hello everyone, and welcome to the very first MCMG tournament!  Please read the rules before registering.

• All speedrun.com rules apply during this tournament, find them here: Multiple Classic Mario Games - Speedrun
• You will need to join the MCMG discord to communicate with your competitors and the tournament admins: https://discord.gg/Vat47EkTHa
• People of all skill levels are welcome to participate.

• You will first be put into a group with the other participants, this is simply to provide more races as everyone will advance to the double elimination round.
• Seeding in the group stage is random and will be shuffled at the start of the tournament.
• Seeding in the double elimination stage is determined by the total of wins you get over other participants in the group stage.  If there is a tie, then the seed number in question will be determined by the sum of all times achieved in the group stage.  The top 3 seeds will be automatically placed in round 2 of the winner's bracket.
• All races in both the group stage and double elimination bracket will be best of 3.
• In between each game, please wait 25 seconds before starting the next game.  This way people only gain a time advantage through gameplay, not faster hardware.  Not waiting 25 seconds in between each game will result in an automatic loss for that individual race.

• SpeedGaming will be partnering with us to provide high-quality restreams of each race.
• Registration is open until Friday January 5, 2024 at 12:00am EST.
